Scott Schultz is the owner and Principal Consultant of 3D Relief Inc. based in Raleigh North Carolina. Scott started 3D Relief in 1996 after spending five years as a Global Services Consultant with PTC, the makers of Creo (Pro/Engineer), a high-end, feature-based parametric solid modeling design suite. Prior to his stint with PTC, Scott headed up the CAD/CAM department at the Bevill Center for Advanced Manufacturing Technology, part of the University of Alabama. The goal of the center as part of the university was to raise the level of technology in Northeastern Alabama. Prior to this Scott was an engineer at a number of companies in the Chicagoland area including Atlantic Richfield, Container Corporation of America, and Astro Tool. Over the years Scott has provided design and consulting services to more than 100 companies worldwide including Nike, John Deere, IBM, Chrysler Technologies, Lockheed Martin Marietta, Texas Instruments, Caterpillar, Case Corporation, Seagate, and Logitech.
